MAREDON DISASTER

This is an account of the very tragic situation regarding the Maredon fishing vessel which came to grief off the coast of St Francis Bay. Rev Boet van Schalkwyk heads up the CRN team, he is the Co-ordinator. He and his team really did sterling work. The team got busy with trauma counselling for the survivors, the bereaved and also the families who were waiting for news of those lost at sea. The CRN team was also involved with trauma counselling for survivors of piracy attacks. This article was written about the fishermen, by Yvonne de Kock, Public Relations Co-ordinator.
