MORNING DEVOTION

Good Morning Fellow Travelers

Fellow Travellers, on this Monday the 21st of November 2022, we read again from John 16:17-33. Jesus continued to talk to them about His imminent departure which they still did not understand. He said to them, soon you will see me no more, and in a little while, you will see me. Mark 8:31; 9:31-32.read more

Good Morning Fellow Travelers

Fellow Travelers, on this Saturday the 19th of November 2022, we read again from John 16:5-15. Jesus had told His disciples that He was going away, but they hadn’t really asked where He was going. True, Peter had asked once. John 13:36. The disciples were filled with grief, because Jesus had told them. As we said in chapter 14, they were worried that He was leaving them. They did not understand that He was talking about His own death.read more

Good Morning Fellow Travelers

Fellow Travellers, on this Friday the 18th of November 2022, we read again from John 15:18-16:4. The world hated Christ and He said to them they will also hate you. They hate the followers of Jesus because they are not of the world. The prince of this age is so angry. There will always be hostility between Christians and the world particularly because of the message they carry which is not well received by the world in most instances. Those who persecuted Jesus always found a way of doing the same to Jesus. Jesus sent us out as sheep among wolves. Matthew 5:16.read more

Good Morning Fellow Travelers

Fellow Travellers, on this Thursdays in Black the 17th of October 2022, we read again from John 15:9-17. Jesus continues to tell them to remain in His love. God confirmed His love by allowing Jesus to come for us whilst we were still sinners.
If you want to be my friends continue to do as commanded. Jesus told His disciples to love each other as He loved them. Loving means being ready to lay your life for the other. If you love yourself too much, you cannot give it up for Christ and others.

Jesus gave His life even for His enemies. Rom. 5:6,8. Hence we are commanded to love even our enemies. Love gives without calculation.

We are called upon to learn from Christ in expressing our
love. Continue to follow and His joy will be made manifest in your lives. Your partner in the Gospel, Awedzani Nemaukhwe, Modimo shuwe. Mulalo
