TO ALL THE UPCSA MINISTERS
Dear Colleagues,
You are kindly requested to uphold in your prayers our dear brothers and sisters in the ministry who are not feeling well. The following ministers sent their prayer requests and consented to the sharing of their information with the colleagues for support. Let us pray without ceasing:
- Mrs Sophia Nkosi, the wife of the Rev MLS Nkosi has been discharged from hospital after a long period of admission. Let us give thanks to God for preserving her and pray for her recovery. Rev MLS Nkosi is a minister emeritus within the Presbytery of Drakensberg.
- Mrs Joyce Mchunu, the wife of the Rev FD Mchunu has been in hospital for almost two weeks now for kidney related illness. Please pray for her recovery. The Rev FD Mchunu is a minister at Ernest Ntuli Memorial Congregation and the Moderator of uThukela Presbytery.
- Rev Dr Mamabolo Raphesu had a heart surgery, which was successfully conducted and he was discharged from hospital a week ago. He is recuperating well at his home and we pray for his complete recovery. Rev Dr M Raphesu is a minister emeritus within the Presbytery of Lekoa.
- Rev Linsby Motebele has been in hospital for a while. He was transferred from Matatiele to a hospital in Durban. Rev Motebele is a minister at EE Xokozela Memorial Congregation, Tiyo Soga Memorial (Transkei) Presbytery.
Please also pray for the Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt Rev Dr Peter Langerman, as he will represent the UPCSA family at the service of Glen and Vida Rafferty who were murdered, as they were returning to their farm at Normandien, near Newcastle. The service will take place tomorrow, Saturday 5 September 2020.
