TO ALL IN THE UPCSA
The UPCSA leadership invites all in the UPCSA to join and participate in the programmes and services that are planned for the remainder of the year, as follows:
- On Monday, the 8th of November 2021 at 19:00 (7 pm), there will be a special virtual service to remember all those who passed away since the outbreak of COVID-19 in the African shores (March 2020). It is considered that COVID-19 has caused brokenness and inflicted pain and loss in different ways. We need to join in prayer to remember the departed and to heal the memories to the survivors and those who were affected and infected. The Presbytery Clerks are hereby requested to submit the names of all the UPCSA members who passed away during this time. Please note that this is not limited to COVID-19 deaths, as every death and funeral were treated similarly over the period. The ZOOM details will be made available in due course.
- On Saturday, the 20th of November 2021 from 00:01 to 23:59, there will be a 24-hour prayer marathon for/against various issues of concern in the UPCSA, DRC, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the rest of the world. Presbyteries and UPCSA Fellowships will be allocated times of up to an hour each to conduct the prayers, as per their plan. The plan will be released soon.
- On Thursday, the 25th of November 2021, the 16 days of activism campaign against violence on women and children. The stakeholder are working on the structure of this year’s campaign. While this office is going to issue the denominational programme, in due course, Presbyteries and Congregations are encouraged to conduct their programmes that may be effective in driving the messages home.
You are all requested to cooperate as a reconciled community of Christians.
